Launi DeYoung is the senior human resources functional leader for Verus Research. She has over 20 years’ experience in human resources and leadership development, working with both small, entrepreneurial organizations and Fortune 100 companies. An innovative problem-solver, she brings a variety of perspectives and knowledge to the table.
Her broad organizational experience provides her with the skills and resources to consult with leaders on a variety of issues and accurately diagnose and address them at the organization, team or individual level on topics ranging from basic human resources policy to large-scale cultural issues.
Prior to joining Verus Research, Launi operated her own organizational effectiveness consulting firm, OrgWorks LLC, working with various clients, including the U.S. Forest Service, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, and the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center. Prior to this, Launi spent 14 years with Boeing Defense Systems in various human resources and leadership development positions.
Launi has a Master of Science degree in Organizational Development from Pepperdine University, holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) accreditation from the Human Resource Certification Institute, and is a Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP). She is also an authorized DISC assessment distributor and facilitator. A member of local and national human resources organizations, she previously served on the board of the Human Resources Association of New Mexico (HRMANM) as vice president of communications and was president of the Rio Grande/Northern New Mexico Industrial Liaison Group.
A native New Mexican, Launi enjoys spending time with her family and their backyard menagerie.
