Verus Research is searching for an Electrical Engineering Intern to assist with experimental development of pulsed power hardware and systems. The Electrical Engineering Intern may perform a number of duties, including assisting engineering staff with assembly, testing, and design modification of high average power and high peak power circuits and radio-frequency-generating sources. The intern may also apply similar tools and techniques to other research projects. This posting is for work in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The ideal candidate for the Electrical Engineering Intern role will possess a strong mix of design, analytical, and hands-on skills, as well as the ability to communicate complex ideas and provide innovative solutions. Success in this demanding role will stem from:
- U.S. citizenship
- Minimum of 3 years’ progress towards a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or other relevant engineering discipline
- Familiarity with electrical circuits design and operation
- Familiarity with data collection, analysis, and presentation
- Familiarity with electrical or mechanical fabrication techniques
