Robotics Intern

Verus Research is searching for a Robotics Intern to assist with the implementation and development of a robotic vehicle lab designed to emulate and test spacecraft autonomy algorithms. The Robotics Intern will be responsible for integrating hardware and software solutions, debugging hardware implementations, running demonstrations, and helping to develop novel autonomy algorithms to be deployed in the robotics lab.  This posting is for work in Albuquerque, NM.

The Robotics Intern will work on a team comprising industry and government technical personnel under the supervision of senior engineering staff. In addition, the Robotics Intern will possess the following:

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Currently pursuing a degree with completion of at least three years of study in a university program of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, computer science, applied physics, or other relevant academic discipline (current enrollment in a master’s or Ph.D. program preferred)
  • Completion of at least one course in control theory and dynamical systems
  • Experience working with and programming robotic systems, such as quadrotors, Python, C++, and ROS/ROS2
