Verus Research Secures $5.8M Award for Efforts in Cognitive Electronic Warfare

Verus Research has secured a four-and-a-half year, $5.8 million award for science and technology developments in the Department of Defense Test Resource Management Center’s (TRMC) Electronic Warfare Test Technology Area.

Under this award, Verus Research has proposed Cognitive Information-Theoretic Attack-pod for Dynamic ELectronic-attack engagementS (CITADELS). CITADELS will support the TRMC’s need for the development of an airborne, adaptive electronic attack system that utilizes cutting-edge cognitive techniques to increase the effectiveness of electronic attack threat simulators against sophisticated “blue radar” systems during flight test events.

Dr. J. Mark DelGrande, Verus Research chief technology officer, said, “This effort, involving both cognitive signal processing and hardware realization, represents a substantial step for Verus Research into the domain of cognitive electronic warfare and intelligent waveform effectors.”
