Verus Research is searching for a Computer Vision Intern to assist with the development of computer vision algorithms that extract information from both synthetic and real-world data sources. This potentially includes both offline and online data processing to identify features and estimate states of objects in the scene as well as scene reconstruction. This posting is for work in Albuquerque, NM and is intended to be a summer 2024 appointment only. Verus Research is prepared to pay for round-trip travel to and from Albuquerque and lodging expenses during your time in Albuquerque. Transportation needed through the duration of the internship, but Not Provided.
The Computer Vision Intern will work on a team comprising industry and government technical personnel under the supervision of senior engineering staff. In addition, the Computer Vision Intern will possess the following:
- U.S. citizenship
- Currently pursuing a degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, applied physics, biomedical engineer, or other relevant academic discipline
- Completion of at least one course in Computer Vision
- Familiarity with general computer vision topics that might include: object detection, object tracking, key point detection, image segmentation, and neural-network-based classifiers
- Experience with Python or C++
