Human Resources Generalist

Verus Research is searching for a Human Resources Generalist to support its rapidly growing operations.  This posting is for work in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The HR Generalist will be responsible for the following:

  • Management of enterprise-wide human resources activities;
  • Compliance with Federal and state laws and related case law precedents;
  • Administration of benefits programs;
  • Advising Company leadership on HR best practices and team dynamics;
  • Development of recruitment postings;
  • Screening and interviewing job applicants;
  • Maintenance of personnel records;
  • Preparation of compliance reports; and
  • Participation in investigations of safety mishaps

The most qualified candidate for the HR Generalist will possess a strong mix of leadership, interpersonal communication skills, analytical abilities, and willingness to provide candid advice to Company leadership in matters of team and interpersonal dynamics and legal compliance.

Requirements for this demanding role include:

  • U.S. Citizenship;
  • At least 6 years’ private industry HR experience;
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or other relevant discipline;
  • SHRM certification or equivalent;
  • Multi-state labor law experience;
  • Demonstrated management of employee training programs;
  • Extensive track record in managing recruiting and onboarding;
  • Proven proficiency in supervisory training; and
  • Clear examples of leading team-building experiences

Applicants with experience in management of environment, safety, and occupational health (ESOH) programs would be especially well qualified for this opportunity.
