Albuquerque, N.M. – (June 4, 2026) Verus® Research, an Albuquerque-based research and development company and wholly owned subsidiary of Alabama-based Radiance Technologies, has appointed Dr. Matt Domonkos as its new chief technology officer (CTO), effective June 1, 2026.

In his new role, Dr. Domonkos will lead the company’s technical strategy and innovation efforts, overseeing the development and execution of technologies that support Verus Research’s mission to deliver advanced solutions to its customers while staying adaptive and competitive. He will also serve on the executive committee.

“I look forward to working with and supporting our team of technical experts as we continue to create and develop solutions that will empower our customers with capabilities that they have long sought and even ones they haven’t yet imagined possible,” said Dr. Domonkos.

Dr. Domonkos succeeds Dr. J. Mark DelGrande, now filling a senior technical fellow role after serving as Verus Research’s CTO since 2015. Dr. DelGrande will continue supporting Verus Research’s growth by assisting with business pursuits and offering technical support.

Dr. Domonkos is a recognized leader in high-power microwave technologies and high-energy density plasma sources, with more than 25-years’ experience in government labs and industry. He joined Verus Research in 2018 and served as head of technology development. Before entering the commercial sector, Dr. Domonkos served as a civilian scientist and program manager in the Air Force Research Laboratory’s High Power Microwave Division.
